It takes a lot of dedicated people to keep Laurel Circle the happy, thriving place it is. Fortunately, we have these people! Residents and staff quickly come to see each other as family. Here is some background on our leadership team.
Brian Alexopoulos, LNHA, MSPT
As Executive Director, Brian oversees the daily operations of Laurel Circle to ensure the community operates efficiently and stays financially sound. He focuses on ensuring residents are satisfied and fulfilled while team members are engaged in the community’s pursuit of excellence. Surrounding himself with outstanding experts in their specific fields, Brian has helped create a cohesive, caring, yet results-driven management team.
Brian joined Laurel Circle with over 20 years of experience in the continuing care retirement community/life plan industry. Brian obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston University, and is licensed in the State of New Jersey as a physical therapist and a nursing home administrator. He began his clinical career in Baltimore with a John Hopkin’s rehabilitation hospital. He then joined the life plan industry and worked through clinical and administrative positions, becoming Senior Director of Continuing Care for one of the nation’s largest senior living companies. Brian now follows his passion of working with seniors in a setting that allows them to thrive in an environment of health and wellness, while also supporting those with medical needs.
Brian’s philosophy is to support a community where residents are engaged and have an active voice in all dimensions of community life. Brian champions the LCS principles, “We deal honestly and fairly with integrity and openness;” and “We serve the residents first and foremost.”
As the Healthcare Administrator, Katie oversee the daily operations of the Arbor Health Center, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Her role is to ensure the highest quality of care for residents who reside in the Arbor, whether temporarily or permanently. It is a multi-faceted role that promotes effective intradepartmental and community-wide systems of healthcare delivery while leading a productive and efficient workforce.
Katie attended Clemson University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in health administration. She went on to complete the Life Care Services Professional Development Program to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Minnesota. Katie strides herself on bringing fresh ideas, an inquisitive mind, and a willingness to learn to any new opportunity.
Director of Sales and Marketing
As Director of Sales and Marketing, Tom is responsible for planning, developing, and directing all aspects of selling and marketing Laurel Circle’s Independent Living and Assisted Living residences. He oversees sales, lead generation, referral development, advertising, strategic market planning and events as well as managing his department’s team.
Tom has worked in the senior living industry for over 20 years. He has helped over 400 families move to a senior living community. His passion grows each day as he gets to meet new families and show them the benefits of living in a community.
When Tom is not at Laurel Circle, he enjoys bike riding, kayaking and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
Director of Nursing
As the Director of Nursing, she ensures that the services provided comply with the highest standards of quality care and that Laurel Circle residents benefit from the training and guidance she provides her staff.
Suzette is a Registered Nurse and has a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Suzette began her nursing career as a floor nurse in a post acute setting. She joins Laurel Circle with 40 years of experience in both post acute and long term care. Suzette has a passion for serving seniors and being able to lead a team that focuses not only on quality of care but optimal quality of life.
Outside of Laurel Circe, Suzette enjoys traveling to the Philippines and spending time at the shore with her husband and two sons.
Patricia Strupp, MSW, CDP
Director Residential Health Services/Health & Wellness Navigator
As Director of Residential Health Services, Patricia oversees independent living health services, initiatives, and policies and also serves as the Health and Wellness Navigator. As the Navigator, she is a liaison between residents, staff and internal and external parties. Patricia also meets with independent living residents, evaluates needs, and works on strategies and solutions to help residents maximize their independence and quality of life.
Patricia holds a masters degree and bachelor’s degree in social work with a geriatric certification. Patricia is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Patricia previously worked with Area Agency on Aging and Health Networks. Patricia’s areas of specialization and interest include comprehensive geriatric assessments with individualized care plans and family conferences, dementia education, caregiver education, along with individual and caregiver counseling and facilitation of Alzheimer’s support groups.
Director of Community Life Services
As Director of Community Life Services, Leah Jennings plans programs and events for the independent living residents and manages the Concierge, Transportation, Community Life in the Health Center, and fitness program. From the helpfulness at the Front Desk and Concierge amenities to fitness and communication services, Leah’s Community Life Services team is responsible for residents’ and guests’ experiences here at Laurel Circle.
Leah has been at the community since April of 2019 and has worked in senior living since 2002. Leah holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and gerontology and is passionate about active aging. She believes that optimal well-being looks different for every individual, which fuels her passion of working with older adults.
When she’s not at Laurel Circle, Leah enjoys spending time with her friends and family, tending to her houseplants and hiking.
As Accounting Director, Renz oversees the accounting team in the day-to-day operations of payroll, billing, and accounts payable. He also prepares the monthly financials, works with the management on developing annual budgets, projects future operating performance and coordinates financial audits.
Renz’s journey in accounting at Laurel Circle began as a staff accountant in 2013. Through the years of gaining an immense amount of knowledge and experience, he worked his way up to Assistant Controller and now Accounting Director. Renz’s connection in the senior living environment began at 18 years old when he worked in dining services while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. The wonderful memories and experiences he gained gave him the ambition to continue to pursue a career in the senior living industry.
Outside of work, Renz has a passion for photography, travelling, and experiencing all of the different cultures the world has to offer.
As Facilities Director, Tim Hub is responsible for the implementation of all facility plant operations management, residence and guest’s safety and security, and construction and project management. Tim also leads the housekeeping services department.
Tim studied telecommunications management at New York Institute of Technology. Before joining Laurel Circle, Tim held various leadership positions at Verizon Wireless. He later joined the senior living industry and has found his true passion. Tim leads by example by always serving the residents first and by going above and beyond for his entire team.
In his free time, Tim likes to play golf, travel and spend time with his wife and two daughters.
Elizabeth E. Reichard
Director of Human Resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Elizabeth is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing and motivated workforce. He is responsible for developing and executing on-boarding, training, performance management, employee retention, and benefits management.
Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in industrial relations. Before joining Laurel Circle, Elizabeth held human resource positions in premier financial and professional organizations for more than thirty years. She believes in working closely with line management to support employee growth and development. Coupled with a philosophy that building strong employee programs and supporting employee satisfaction, we will provide the outstanding service necessary to meet and exceed our resident’s expectations.
General Manager, Dining and Culinary operations.
As General Manager of Dining and Culinary Operations, Stephen Davis is responsible for overseeing the community’s food and beverage daily operations.
Prior to joining Laurel Circle, Stephen held positions as an executive chef in hotels, restaurants, and upscale senior living dining venues. He joins Laurel Circle with twenty years of experience serving seniors. Stephen studied at the Atlantic Culinary Academy in Mays Landing, New Jersey and holds numerous certifications in food safety, nutrition, and culinary foundations training. Stephen also has done extensive training on senior living menu development and programs to enhance the dining experience within todays senior living communities.
