Laurel Circle Physical Therapist Featured in U.S. News & World Report

Laurel Circle Physical Therapist Nika Jain was interviewed for a U.S. News & World Report article, “What Are the Best Heart-Healthy Exercises?” that was published March 25, 2022.

Speaking with writer Heidi Goodman, Jain suggests a slower introduction to exercise for those who are older, are new to exercise, or are starting again after a long absence. “If you’ve been living a sedentary lifestyle, you can probably tolerate 10 to 20 minutes of exercise per day,” says Jain. “If you’re weak and deconditioned from a hospital stay, you’ll need to exercise in short intervals of one or two minutes. In both cases, you can increase the amount of time you exercise by a minute per day.”
